Woodland sage (Salvia nemorosa) is a vigorous, compact perennial known for its long and abundant flowering. It produces magnificent spikes of purple flowers that stand above oval, toothed, aromatic foliage. This plant adds a touch of sustained color to the garden from late spring until late summer. Adapted to naturalistic gardens, it prefers sunny locations and well-drained soils, and is drought-resistant once established.
