American bur-reed (Sparganium americanum) is a native aquatic plant of Quebec, ideal for wetlands such as lake shores, shallow ponds, and muddy areas. This aquatic perennial quickly forms dense stands that help stabilize soils and prevent erosion in wet environments. In the heart of summer, it produces spherical, spiky fruits, a vibrant lime green, which add a unique visual touch to these environments.
