Lovage of Scotland (Ligusticum scoticum), sometimes called "Scottish lovage" or "sea parsley," is a perennial herbaceous plant native to the coastal regions of the North Atlantic, where it thrives in saline soils and marine environments. It can reach 30 to 60 cm in height and has dark green, compound, and finely toothed leaves, resembling parsley. In summer, it produces umbels of small white flowers, attracting various pollinators. Scottish lovage is particularly resistant to coastal conditions and is often found by the sea, among cliffs and dunes.
