Fringed sedge (Carex crinita) is a perennial wetland plant, known for its long, slender foliage and cascading inflorescences, which bring a touch of grace and calm to gardens. This plant can reach about 50 cm in height and is particularly suited to marshy environments, the edges of bodies of water, and wet areas. Its flowering period extends from July to October, with long, pendulous inflorescences that add a delicate ornamental appeal. Fringed sedge prefers moist, well-drained soils and tolerates light shade, although it thrives best in full sun.
