Nodding bur-marigold (Bidens cernua) is an annual or biennial plant with pretty bright yellow flowers resembling small daisies, which bloom in late summer and autumn. Its robust stems and dense green foliage make it an excellent addition to water gardens or wet areas of the garden, offering vibrant color and a food source for insects at a time of year when other plants are beginning to fade. Later in autumn, its seeds provide valuable food for ducks and several granivorous birds.

This plant prefers consistently moist, even marshy, soils and thrives in full sun or partial shade. It is ideal for rain gardens, pond edges, or wet areas of the garden. Nodding bur-marigold is also known for its ability to adapt to various soil conditions.
