By allowing some plants to go to seed, it self-seeds easily, ensuring a continuous presence in the garden year after year.

• Zones 8-9: direct sow in spring or fall; winter cultivation possible in sheltered areas.
• Zones 5-7: direct sow after frost or in late summer for an autumn harvest.
• Zones 3-4: indoor sowing then transplanting; ideal for spring and autumn crops.

How to grow and harvest Green Curled Lettuce

• Sowing: 6 mm deep; spacing 20–30 cm.
• Watering: maintain constant moisture; avoid drying out.
• Harvest: pick outer leaves or harvest the whole head.
• Maintenance: shade during hot periods to delay bolting.
