Artificial flowers, made from a blend of silk and plastic, are ideal for steaming. This process softens the petals and leaves, giving them a more natural appearance.
Follow the instructions below to steam your artificial flowers and garlands.
To steam:
Boil a medium pot of water on the stove.
Once boiling, carefully hold the flowers over the pot, in the steam.
Hold the garland until the leaves or petals have relaxed. Give it a gentle shake. Garlands will appear fuller, and flowers will be easier to ship and look more natural.
Be careful not to leave them in the steam for too long (over 5-10 seconds), as the glue will slowly come undone. Do not let the flowers touch the water, pot, or stove. Wear heat-resistant gloves to protect your hands.
